Job Description

As a growing local business, Averest is looking for a self motivated Assembly & Warehouse Operative to support our increasing custom products business. The successful candidate will need electro-mechanical skills to be able to build assemblies and sub-assemblies, be able to work with hand and power tools, and support part picking & packing in our warehouse.

Principal Accountabilities:

· Assemble, position, align, and fasten units, cables and wiring, using hand tools and power tools

· Load/Unload inbound and outbound freight

· Pick products and build pallets for assembly and safe transportation

· Label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight

· Pack small parts for shipment and create shipping labels

· Work to exceptional levels of quality, and maintain accurate assembly production records

· Perform routine daily cleanup, book jobs into computer.

· Work to verbal or written instruction

· Maintain and ensure a safe working environment in accordance with OSHA guidelines

· Other duties as required.

Required Skills & Experience:

· Lite manufacturing or assembly experience, 4+ years

· Knowledge of hand and power tools used in assembly

· Self-starter, attention to detail, and ability to suggest solutions when problems arise

· Self Confident, reliable, good communicator.

Beneficial skills and experience:

· Candidates with technical training, military experience or trade school certifications a plus

· Ability to read & understand technical drawings

· A standard forklift certification

· Continuing education plans.

Physical Conditions/Requirements

· Job frequently requires sitting, and handling objects with hands

· Job requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, talking, hearing, & lifting up to 50 pounds

· Job requires the ability to see & read information in print, and work accurately with small components.
