Position Summary : The Web Designer adds value to BAPI and the Marketing Team by designing, developing, and maintaining responsive and user-friendly websites and web applications. In addition, this role will provide mentorship as needed, work collaboratively and lead small projects and is expected to show measurable impact on campaign performance or business goals.

Web Designer Principle Responsibilities:

Website Management & Design including updates, enhancements and ecommerce

  1. Manage and maintain the company website including content updates, landing page creation, SEO optimization, and performance enhancements
  2. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate technical features of electronics products into clear, compelling marketing content
  3. Coordinate with product managers on digital assets, ensuring alignment with campaign goals and technical accuracy
  4. Support e-commerce or product catalog integrations and troubleshoot issues related to website functionality or tracking
  5. Stay up-to-date on trends in both digital marketing and electronics/technology markets to identify new growth opportunities
  6. Documenting updates and changes to website

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

  1. Implement a working knowledge of SEO and assist with analytical requirements for strategic planning, optimization, content creation, and reporting
  2. Design, code, and modify websites and web applications according to project specifications.
  3. Maintain and improve the performance of existing websites and applications.
  4. Optimize websites for maximum speed, scalability, and responsiveness.
  5. Ensure cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device compatibility.
  6. Debug issues and conduct thorough testing and validation of web interfaces.
  7. Stay up to date on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in web development

Other:

  1. Maintains industry knowledge by attending educational workshops or classes; reviewing related publications; establishing networks.
  2. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, including special projects and tasks as delegated supervisor.
Requirements:

Web Designer Education Requirements (R/Required, P/Preferred):

(R) Associate's Degree, Trade or Technical School

(P) Bachelor's Degree

Degrees Preferred: Graphic/Digital/Web Design, Marketing or extensive work experience

Training, Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Specific Training in this field (R/Required, P/Preferred):

  1. (R) Demonstrable skill with Adobe Creative Suite Software (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator and Acrobat) as well as Microsoft Office Suite
  2. (R) Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP
  3. (P) UI design in Figma
  4. (R) Wordpress proficient
  5. (R) Ability to understand a technical product and industry
  6. (P) 5 years of experience in a marketing department or equivalent

Experience/Knowledge in this field (R/Required, P/Preferred):

  1. (R) Well-developed writing ability and excellent grammar
  2. (R) Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  1. Culturally Competent
  2. Exceptional communication skills, demonstrated ability to communicate respectfully, culturally competent and collaboratively
  3. Excellent Ability to communicate in verbal, written and electronic forms in a professional manner when working with employees, vendors and company contacts
